My Students
Poetry is all around us! Poetry helps us to express our feelings about the world around us.
My class has 32 children. My school is located in Jackson Heights and is a title one school. All of our children get free lunch and breakfast. We have over 40 languages spoken here. My class is eager to learn and experience new things. They love to read and write.
My Project
With these poetry books we will get inspiration for creating our own poems. We will write our own poetry in our writer's notebook and go through the writing process just like real authors. We will revise and edit our work. When we will write our poems, we will create a poetry anthology. With the paper and markers we will create a book. We will laminate the cover to make in hard.
Help us create our poetry books. We will share our poems with our classmates, other classes and our parents. With your help we can be creative and let our artistic side help us create beautiful anthology books.
