This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first graders love to gather on the floor and listen to stories. They would really appreciate a soft, comfy rug to sit on.

My 26 first graders are fabulous!

Many of my students face challenges and difficulties. However, they are so enthusiastic and love to learn! They work so very hard every day. They know that if they work hard they can be successful at anything. My students are smart, thoughtful, and sweet. They are respectful and kind to everyone at school.

My Project

This carpet would be such a wonderful addition to our room. Aesthetically it would create a bright, colorful, cheery place for my first graders to gather for story time and other mini lessons. My students would not only have a comfortable place to sit, but this rug also would provide a square where each child could sit. This would make for faster and easier transitions to the carpet. Additionally, each child can feel at ease, comfortable in their own space, with a comfortable boundary between them and the student next to them.

By donating to this project you will make a difference in the lives of my super first grade students.

They work so hard and love to come to school. It would mean so much to all of us. They would feel so special having such a colorful carpet in our room, and they would be very grateful!
