A Camera to Connect to the Real World

My students need 2 digital cameras.

My ESL (English as a Second Language) students will begin to build a strong foundation in reading and writing by having the ability to use digital cameras. My students will use a digital camera for numerous individual writing projects, whole group thematic class books, supporting poetry, sharing families through writing, encouraging family involvement and to capture all the special events that happen in their 1st grade lives in and out of school. I would love for students to have the digital cameras so that they can create vivid stories. They will be able to build their English vocabulary and writing skills. Having my students become digital storytellers is a very motivating method to enhance and support writer's workshop. Your support will help encourage my first graders to develop the love of reading and writing.
