A Book Bursting With Excitement and Rhetoric

My students need 40 copies of Native Son in order to improve their rhetoric skills.

My Students

My classroom is dynamic and exciting, just like Native Son.

I am at a magnet school, grades 4-12.

We offer a seamless educational experience to a diverse group of students. Our students come from all over Los Angeles, some travel over an hour each way just to come here. They are an amazing group of kids with drive and dedication.

My Project

Native Son is a book that immediately grabs the reader. There are an incredible number of lessons and activities that go with the book. It also has the added benefit of book 3 being full of rhetorical devices, with makes it perfect for an AP class, as well as an honors 11th grade class.

I have some copies of the book, however they are literally falling apart at the seams.

I'm hoping to put the book in the hand of each of my students so they can experience the joy of reading an important book, with many valuable lessons.
