My Students
We have several computers that are working well but due to a required update in operating systems, also need a little hardware to keep working. The devices we are seeking takes 1 computer, and splits it into 6 stations that students can use.
Our students are ambitious and hard working, but have a wide range in academic performance and economic background.
This diversity in academic performance creates some significant challenges in meeting individual needs. Many of our students come from low income families.
My Project
We use technology in our classroom to provide lessons and instruction that is targeted to each individual's skill level. Keeping these computers helps me, as a teacher, focus on the individual student's needs and ensures that every student is progressing to the best of their ability. Specifically students will practice writing, spelling, math, and grammar on the computers.
Our goal is to get a computing device for each child. With this device, the NComputing X550 5 User Desktop Virtualization Kit, we will reach this goal. Imagine the power of having access to powerful learning software, productivity tools, and research tools at our students' fingertips whenever they need it. The possibilities are endless.
It is no longer necessary to teach to the middle of the class and leave the slower students behind and bore high achieving students.
If we can continue using the technology we have we can ensure that each child reaches their maximum potential. This inexpensive upgrade can keep these computers running for many years to come.
