My Students

The Great Lakes Aquarium will inspire our students to explore their connection with Lake Superior and waters of the world.

95 students.

95 third grade students exploring and investigating aquatic life and biomes at the aquarium. This field trip would be amazing. The budget for field trips is no more and so our option is to ask students to supply the cost or ask amazing donors like you. Over 50% of our students are free or reduced lunch, so burdening them with additional costs is something we just do not want to do.

My Project

The Great Lakes Aquarium is located about an hour and a half from our school. We'll enjoy the bus ride talking and laughing, and then arrive to the beautiful aquarium located on Lake Superior. Students will get to explore the aquarium and bring the biomes that they have just learned about to life.

Field trips bring the classroom to the outside world.

This trip would be a highlight of our students' year. Although the aquarium is only an hour and a half from our school, this is a field trip that many students would not get to go on otherwise. Touching a sturgeon, exploring shipwrecks, and finding out the wonders of water are just three of the many things our students will get a chance to do on this field trip.
