A typical day in our classroom is very fun and full of energy. The one area my students lack in is technology because we do not have one to one technology in our classroom. The students struggle with completing activities on computers because they are not exposed to using technology enough.
My students are very fun and energetic.
We are in a suburban area school, close to a major city with a very diverse population. They love learning how to do new things and reading. The students constantly want to use the technology in the classroom but it is very limited because we have 23 students and only 8 computers.
My Project
These tablets will be used daily in our classroom. The students will use them to get exposure to reading on a screen. We take our standardize tests on a computer and the students struggle with reading on a screen for long periods of time because they are not exposed to it very often. The second way they will be used in the classroom is for research projects in the classroom. We do not have a chance to do individual research projects during school because we lack the technology to do so. These tablets would allow my students to complete many different projects. The last reason we would like to have them is to complete different learning activities such as using Math Apps to practice facts and a QR scanner to complete different activities we could have around our classroom.
My project will make a difference because it will give the students the tools they need to learn how to work with technology.
It will allow them to learn in a new way, preparing them for the future and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.
