My students need book bins, a library full of 68 fiction and non-fiction books, four read-along books, a listening center, and eight comfy bean bag chairs.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my very first year teaching and I beyond excited to pour into these sweet kiddos and help them become excited about school, learning, and make them want to share the awesome things they've learned. Our classroom is going to be a fun, comfortable place where learning takes us on adventures!
These kids are infectious, y'all.
I haven't even been in a classroom yet and the times I have been on campus have been greeted by kid's waves, smiling faces, and such well behaved students ready to see what the new day brings. Most of our kiddos aren't reading at their current grade level, but we're going to change that in Mrs. Nabors's class!
My Project
Most of our kids aren't reading at grade level, but we have an opportunity to get them up to speed. Naturally, we can't do that without plenty of books, a place for our books to live, and a comfy place to get lost in a book. The listening center will help kids correlate what they hear with what they see on the pages in front of them. This is an awesome opportunity for kids to connect the two and ultimately get them reading at, or above, grade level.

I am looking forward to serving and teaching these young minds this upcoming year. I can't wait to see how these materials will be used to help my students progress in their reading and comprehension abilities, and ultimately foster a love for reading that will benefit them through their lives.
