My Students

Do you remember the first time you used any type camera? I can and it was exciting! Schools are tapping into visual culture and how people communicate and learn currently. Technology in our art program is critical to reaching students and creating meaning in their learning endeavors.

My students are always creative and excited about learning, a rare thing in low income school.

My students are hard working despite anything that may face them in their personal lives. Our school is the smallest elementary in our county school system. This year the budget does not provide the supplies necessary for our students to learn at their highest potential.

My Project

The Pinnacle software will allow students to create and edit green screen videos that will be used to promote school events, programs, and cross-grade level learning. Digital camera tripods will allow students to create visual stories using stop motion animation, an animation that is popular in making many major motion picture films, by lessening camera movement during the process. My students will learn valuable skills that can be transferred to different subjects and projects in the future, as well as spark a interest in future careers involving technology and art.

My students will be able to create different types of videos to communicate a message.
