Alphabet Awareness

My students need photo cards, flash cards and puzzles to introduce the alphabet. Being that most of my class is non-verbal voice output switches a will assist in teaching the alphabet.

My Students

My class consist of 10 special needs children age 5-6 years old. Most of my students are non-verbal which is why I would like simple voice output switches to assist in teaching them the alphabet.

My class consist of 10 special needs children.

Six of these children are in wheelchairs and 9 of the students are non-verbal. Having a voice output switch for each student will assist in teaching them the letters of the alphabet along with other activities though out their school day.

My Project

The material requested will assist me in teaching my students the letters of the alphabet along with the initial sound of each letter. The voice output switches will be used to reinforce the letters of the alphabet. The voice output stitches will also be used through out the students day to answer simple yes/no questions, to indicate when a student my need to use the bathroom and or my be hungry or thirsty.

I am always looking for different ways to reinforce the alphabet with my students; these materials will assist me in doing so.

Along with teaching the alphabet to my students the voice output switches will be used through my students day for many other school activities. Some examples would be: to ask for more, to indicate the need to use the bathroom, to answer simple yes/no questions, etc.
