My children are hard-working, dedicated and downright amazing kids who often come to school without the emotional and family support they need.

However, instead of putting up walls and making excuses they work harder than most to get to their ultimate goal of college. I have 9 graphing calculators I have either purchased with my own money or received from college kids who just graduated. I need 3 more to have enough for the students in the math class preparing for the ACT and higher level math. These students are doing this class on their own time and not because anyone is making them, but because they want to graduate and attend a 4-year university four years from now.

My Project

You may not be able to come be the emotional support they need. We cannot change their past or replace their family, but we can give them the proper tools to create a better and brighter future. When my students walk into the ACT they will feel like they have the correct tools to succeed. As they prepare to take their first real college leap they will have a strong reminder that people care in the way of a calculator. This calculator will not only help the scholars working so hard this year, but all the students who enter the classroom dreaming of a better future.

Not only will your donation give my students the proper tools, but it will give them hope that there are people out there who care about what they do, who appreciate how hard they work and who are cheering them along from the sidelines.
