Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I want my Kindergarten students to love Math. Having hands on material in my class is a must but with the low income families it's hard to get donations.

My students come from low income homes and over 65% are English Language Learners. These students come to school with no English language experience. Having these math supplies can increase their understanding and build their self esteem.

These math kits are a great way to use hands on learning in the classroom. As you know, Kindergarten students learn best when they are able to touch and explore items. Each Math kit has easy to read pictures so the children can review topics on their own. They also come with manipulative's so the children can see their learning taking place.

You will make it possible for my students to learn simple math skills using hands on material. Remember these kids are our future and we need to start at an early age engaging their learning.
