I am the lucky music teacher of about 340 wonderful elementary students. Our Title 1 school is in an urban neighborhood, and many of our families are in a lower income range. The students I work with are from very diverse backgrounds, including students from many different cultures and languages. They are funny, bright, outgoing, and willing to learn. They work hard to be their best, and are so excited when they get to learn something new, especially when they can use new tools and materials that they've never seen before. In my classroom, I love watching the students develop a love for music!
