Welcome to First Grade! It's a different world down here but we love it. My favorite part of teaching first grade is watching my students grow from being virtually non-readers in September to reading chapter books in June! I am teaching in an urban charter school in Pennsylvania. Many of our students come from low income families. We are a full inclusion school with a high percentage of special needs students.
