Hands-on Language Arts and Geography learning activities enliven my classroom! I yearn to challenge and inspire all of my students, both general education students, and those with special needs, through the use of unique and engaging materials. The myriad benefits of integrating novel studies into the classroom proves to foster authentic student engagement. Reading is a ubiquitous part of children's lives; so, effective integration of novels is a necessity for our 21st Century learners. We must enhance the learning process through active engagement, participation in groups, frequent interaction and feedback, and connection to real-world experiences. Participating in novel studies lends itself as the multidimensional tool that assists that process.
