Students love to explore, and when they think they are having fun while learning, they remember and apply what is presented to them. I want students to be able to participate in activities that will help them retain valuable Science information. Our students need hands on resources to help them grasp Earth Sciences. They will explore earthquakes, landforms, volcanoes, atmosphere, weathering, weather and the environment. I teach Science to fifth graders at a charter school in a mid-size city. We service students from four counties. Our school is passionate about addressing all learning styles and creating an environment that will encourage students to be life long learners. We do not receive as much funding as traditional public schools and so we have to seek other ways to fund much needed resources. The materials needed for this great task is a Earth Science kit and teacher guide. This kit will enable students to participate in lab activities that will enable them to make real life applications of Earth Science. This kit will impact 75 fifth graders! Many students will benefit. Our students need these resources, this will give them an educational experience that will last their entire lives. Please consider helping our students. How wonderful to know that a small investment will so greatly impact children!
