My Students

Help students progress in math! Give them the help that they need. Your support will make a difference in the quality of education in my classroom and at our school.

I am a second grade teacher at a small city school district in California.

I teach at a school where most of the children need more access to technology. My students are challenged everyday in my classroom to use their knowledge to answer difficult questions about mathematics. They are young and eager to learn more. Our district is our local community. I want to provide my students with everything that they need to succeed in their academic futures. They need a strong foundation.

My Project

I am requesting a screen to use with our projector so that every student can see our math lessons in class. We will be learning about shapes. The students will put shapes together and take them apart to form other shapes. Some examples will include putting two congruent right triangles together to form a rectangle. These lessons are better seen on a big screen. I am also requesting paper to use to trace these figures. They can then cut them out and create their own shapes at home.

Due to larger class sizes, it has made it very difficult for all of the students in my class to see what I am trying to teach them.

A screen would help us tremendously in our efforts to reach every child.
