My Students

Save our robot! My students are building a robot for FIRST's (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) 2012 Robot Competition Rebound Rumble, and we need a laptop to control the robot.

My students come from very diverse backgrounds.

At my public high school over 30% qualify for free and reduced lunch. They have many academic opportunities with AP classes and elective classes. Recently with the budget cutbacks these opportunities are being cut back, and we are trying to expand their extracurricular options with clubs like FIRST Robotics.

My Project

I'm requesting a cheap but critical laptop to control the students' robot in the FIRST competition this year called Rebound Rumble. This will allow over 40 students to get to experience the Robot Competition where they will meet with other inspirational high school teams. Without this laptop the student's hard work building and programming the robot might go to waste.

Funding this request will help inspire my students to become engineers and scientists by exposing them to a fun and exciting application of science and technology--the Robot competition Rebound Rumble.
