My Students

Expressing creativity is one of the cornerstones of education. Student artwork is a great way to see what interests kids and really brings to life those hidden talents that they have. This is true, even in a science classroom. We love to do hands-on activities and really get engaged in our work.

We have a diverse mix of students at our school.

Being located near a military base, it's easy to see why. With that diversity comes creativity. This group of kids has a great sense of humor and love to be praised for the good work they have done. Money is tight right now with many families in the area, with over 50% of the students qualifying for assistance for Free/Reduced price lunch. So, it is understandable that families don't have the resources to donate supplies to the schools like they've done in the past.

My Project

Students in my science classes are very creative and love to express themselves through art. One of their favorite activities is creating a poster to showcase what they've learned and really tie it all together. Our art supplies are stretched a little thin. We did not receive much in the way of donations from parents this school year, which is understandable. We are down to about 30 colored pencils for the entire class, which makes it next to impossible to use them. For some reason, colored pencils are their favorites! We are asking your to please help resupply our science class with markers and colored pencils so that we can continue to showcase our artistic side. Thank you!

Science is all about the world around you.

Being able to illustrate and showcase that world would make a big difference in students. Plus, how great would it be to have our very first Donor's Choose project funded. We promise to use our new supplies and show our gratitude!
