My Students

As we prepare our students for jobs and skills in the 21st century, they will be faced with questions we have only begun to imagine. By reading this text, students will be exposed to ethical questions concerning the medical field, research and development, and humanity in general.

Our students attend an inner city high school in Ohio.

They graduate in 3 years, after a rigorous program of studies. They have done interdisciplinary projects before. This book will serve as the basis for another interdisciplinary project. We want enough copies of the text so that they are all reading at the same time.

My Project

My students are learning to be citizens of the world. They are examining sustainability in all of its aspects. The introduction of this text will serve as the basis of a discussion about issues that will be before them in the future. Their awareness of this question, developed by reading the book, will serve for discussion, technical writing, and debates.

Richard Riley said," We are currently preparing students for jobs that don't yet exist, using technologies that haven't been invented, in order to solve problems that we don't even know are problems yet.

" Whether to destroy or pass on her cells, this was the question before the researchers whose stories are told in this book. They failed to ask the question. We will examine this and other ethical questions.
