This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

What's a science class without a discussion of the environment? My students need hands-on experiences to learn about the earth and how to preserve our environment.

My students are very bright and creative.

My students are very diverse and they represent every part of our city. They ride a bus for over an hour each direction just to be a part of our digital media magnet program. My students are eager to learn and that inspires me to reach new heights with the quality of my lessons.

My Project

My students participate in several environmental and ecological trips throughout the year and we need hydrometers to study marine environments and lab aprons to keep our clothes dry. The gardening tools are for soil sampling and sand collecting. The rock kits will help us compare the types of rocks found in natural areas.

My students deserve a high quality education with opportunities that provide for studying natural environments.

Without a complete understanding, my students will be less motivated to protect our fragile world.
