Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Imagine how frustrated my students are when there is only one outdated computer in the classroom for them to use. They can't access to many of the skill-learning programs that are designed for newer computers.

I am teaching in a Title 1 school.

The majority of my students are English Language Learners and they come from a low, socioeconomic, family background. Many of my students do not have access to computers at home. They are excited and fascinated whenever they have the chance to access any computers.

My Project

My students are in need of an updated laptop in our classroom. With the laptop, my students will have the opportunity to access different reading and math games. This will enable them to review the skills that they have learned in class. It will also enable me to show resources from the internet.

I strongly believe that the laptop will broaden their scope of knowledge.

This laptop will also allow me to administer new reading tests to the students. It will enable me to assess and monitor my students' progress in reading and other academic areas.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
