My Students

My students love hands-on learning. To seal in the knowledge that they obtain during science labs I would like them to have access to BrainPOP videos to gain or add knowledge in a fun way.

My students attend a neighborhood school and 98% are on free or reduced lunch with a 98% African American student body.

My students are inquisitive and interested in science and are experiencing hands-on science for the first time. They have a lot to learn as the focus before coming to my class has been on math and reading. I want to keep the fire alive in their interest in science but improve their knowledge, vocabulary and understanding of scientific concepts, I think the characters in BrainPOP will do just that.

My Project

The BrainPOP subscription offers an animated series of videos with quizzes and lessons on all subjects my students are learning. They are doing hands-on science for the first time this year and to build their concepts and vocabulary the BrainPOP videos will support this learning. The BrainPOP videos are award winning and engaging!

The project supports learning in a fun and innovative way.

Science is emerging as one of the most crucial subjects for our students and I want to build their knowledge in a way that keeps them focused and content rich.
