Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We live in a new age where bullying has caused young people to take their own lives. This is not acceptable. I believe in starting to teach the students, while they are young, that bullying is not to be tolerated.

My students are from a very supportive community.

They come from diverse backgrounds and are at various learning levels. I have students who need guidance when working with others who are different from themselves. They love to learn and share what they have learned.

My Project

My students will have a rich yearlong curriculum with the use of the books. I can read aloud several and others can be in our library. There is also a book on activities on bullying and the students can then review what we have learned. There is also a No Bully Zone jar of situations that we can discuss at the end of our school day.

This project is important because as a teacher I need to teach my students that bullying isn't something that they need to be a part of.

They need to get direction in knowing how to spot it and deal with it before it gets out of hand.
