This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In today's classroom the most essential part of teaching is capturing my student's attention and enthusiasm. I would like to join the 21st century by tapping into my tech savvy students' desires by presenting my lessons with the best eye catching visuals and graphics.

My students come from varied backgrounds.

Most are of minority descent, mainly African American and Latino backgrounds. They come from humble households and are Title 1 recipients. They are sharp, enthusiastic learners that need to be challenged in order to focus and do well in school. Some lack the inner drive to succeed but change immediately when technology is involved.

My Project

With the acquisition of a state-of-the-art LCD projector I will be able to capture my student's attention by providing them with a glimpse into how our current lessons relate to the world around them. Lessons will come to life through video clips, PowerPoint presentations, pictures, and music thereby allowing students the opportunity to learn in an array of modalities. Students will be able to make connections between what we learn in the classroom and how that directly affects their lives and their particular community. I will be able to present material with the latest research and the most up to date information.

An LCD projector is an essential part of today's classroom.

Teachers are better able to deliver lessons and teach children how to incorporate technology into their daily lives. Students will be able to utilize this equipment by making PowerPoint presentations and thereby learning invaluable public speaking skills. They will also be able to experience the world around them by pinpointing locations on maps, interpreting data on graphs, and traveling all over the world with the touch of a button.
