Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

It has been challenging for my students to create picture projects without the use of a digital camera. It would be great to have a camera accessible to them to save those special moments to share with family and classmates.

I work with 22 enthusiastic 2nd grade students.

They challenge me everyday. I would love to have a camera that would allow me to show them how I appreciate the way they work together and express their ideas through pictures. I would also use pictures to form a picture gallery of their ideas. It would be a wonderful resource to create projects for Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and much more.

My Project

My students need a digital camera to create books, art projects, social study and science projects. My students would be able to create memory books, Christmas projects, Mother's Day Cards, Father's Day projects and much, much more. They could also use the pictures taken to add to their writing assignments such as advertisements, interviews of family and staff members, and All About Me books. The students would truly benefit from the use of pictures they were able to take themselves.

My students would truly appreciate you helping us attain our request for a camera to provide the opportunity to expand our writing and visual arts activities.
