This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our High School Boys Basketball team has, like the rest of LAUSD, faced budget cuts across the board. In fact, VNHS Basketball, currently, does not receive any funding at all. As a result, the team cannot get the equipment that it needs to succeed, such as basketballs, a basketball cage, etc.

All members of our Boy's Basketball program are outstanding and respectful gentlemen.

They are smart, hard working, and generous. And despite the fact that the majority of the team comes from low income households, each and every one of them always maintain a great attitude and happy demeanor.

My Project

Receiving resources such as basketballs will help the team improve on their game. For example, we will be able to run practices with important, helpful drills that require multiple balls. The players have the potential to become great ball players. Right now, they need the essential, standard equipment to help them improve.

We need your help.

The team is fortunate to have a great coaching staff and wonderful, hard working players. Unfortunately, the team lacks proper equipment. Thus, donating will help the boys become better ballplayers and help our team thrive in future years.
