My Students

Technology should not be limited to a galaxy far, far away!

We are a high performing school with most students learning English as a second language.

Our current technology is outdated. Our students need experience using the most current technology. Many students do not have computers or Internet at home. Not all kids can learn by just listening, many students need visual and hands-on learning.

My Project

The Samsung Galaxy Tablet will allow our third graders to have access to engaging lessons and educational applications and websites. Such a device will effectively meet the needs of diverse learners (visual, auditory, kinesthetic). Third grade teachers will also be able to assess DIBELS (the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills). These tests will help teachers to match instructional support to specific student needs.

Imagine small groups of students excited about practicing math, reading, or science and teachers assessing reading skills with quick access to remediation.

Please bring the Samsung Galaxy 7 to our third graders!
