My Students

My students do not like to read news magazine articles. I feel that it is important to them to stay current with the news.

My students in my classroom are a diverse group of 5th and 6th grade students.

They come from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds. We are a multicultural group of learners. My students have an interest in the arts and enjoy exploring their talents.

My Project

I am requesting Time For Kids for my students. I am hoping that this will inspire my students to develop an interest in current events. The activities that accompany the news magazine will also further enhance different social studies topics that students will study.
