Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you know how it feels to read a book and not understand what you read or how to pronounce the words in the book? Have you ever been interested in reading a book but couldn't because the reading level was too hard for you?

My students are not excited about reading, therefore my goal with these audio books is to open their minds to the wonderful world of reading.

By having these audio books, they will be able to listen independently while reading along. The desired outcome is that they will become motivated readers because these books will finally expose them to levels of reading and experiences upon which they have never dared to try to read before.

My Project

My students need these audio books to help them understand the words and experiences of the stories that are in the books. In addition, they need books that are on their reading level and books in which they are interested. These audio books will allow the students to be exposed to a larger variety of reading levels, experiences, and stories which will ultimately enrich their reading comprehension.

This donation will help the students improve their reading and expose them to real life experiences, as well as fictional encounters in reading.

I hope my students become interested in reading, therefore these audio books will definitely help them make connections and realize how they can benefit from reading everyday.
