Are you ready for the BIG ONE? Well, Lakeshore Elementary in San Francisco is not. The San Francisco Unified School District has provided the school with a storage footlocker of basic supplies that are kept for use in a disaster. With approximately 600+ students and staff at the school the district provided emergency supplies is not enough. I am the Special Education Inclusion Teacher at this school and I have 12 students on my caseload. Myself and the Emergency Response team has been working with the Administration and the PTA to get an adequate Emergency Supply to be able to sustain all the students and staff if "the Big One" hit while we are at school. We are hoping that you could help. This proposal is part one of 4 to get all the supplies we need in case of emergency. For this proposal I am asking that you help us to provide adequate food and water to sustain the 600+ -students and staff if we were in an emergency and had to stay at school for 3 days. A list of needed items is provided below. - Bottled Water = 3 per person - 2400 Calorie food bar = 6/400 calorie bars x 3 per person. These items are non-perishable, so we can have them stored until we need to use them. Please help us in keeping our students and staff safe at Lakeshore.
