My Students

Have you ever made a masterpiece and the next day you forgot where you put it? My students are in need of organizational materials that will help our classroom stay organized!

I teach in a beautiful school nestled in the mountains of North Carolina.

It is a VERY LARGE Title One school with little funding for teachers to have extra materials. My students love to read and write. They love to be read to and try new things. Our classroom is very small and with 25 desks and bodies it makes the space even smaller.

My Project

First, I am requesting a store it all cart. I would like to use it as a student friendly place where students can find materials to use on their own. If they need a pencil or a new sheet of writing paper, it would work as an area where students can come and get what they need. Also, I am asking for a paper storage system. Right now, I do not have a place for my paper to call "home". It is scattered all through out my classroom in cabinets, and on top of counters. This will allow me to store paper and other craft materials. It will be easy to find the right color I need or to find other materials. Finally, I am asking for a turn it in tray. I would like to use this on top of the store it all cart. Right now, I have an unorganized bin where students cannot figure out where to put their papers. With the new tray, I will label each tray with a subject and students will know exactly where to turn in their assignments. All of these materials will make our classroom organized.

This project will allow our classroom to stay organized.

Students will have a place to turn their work in and have a station where they can find materials for writing. These items will also give my classroom extra storage space.
