Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember what is was like when you read a story that you were so into and you just needed to read more of these types of stories. Well my class truly enjoys the Magic School House collection of books and would love more books along with a Kindle Fire e-reader.

My school is a Title One school where the majority of the students receive free lunch.

The majority of my class are English Learners. They come from homes where both parents work long hours and their parents don't have time to drive them across town to go to the public library to get books.

My Project

These books will help my students travel into a world they have never seen before. The Magic School House books allow them to travel to destinations through reading. My students love reading these series and I want to keep them engaged in reading. My students are also into technology and would love reading using a Kindle Fire E-reader. I am also going to have my students take accelerated reader test on the Kindle Fire to assess their reading comprehension. With both of these resources, they will continue to grow and develop that love they have for reading.

The Magic School House books and Kindle Fire will make all the difference in the world to these kids.

We are currently facing budget shortfalls and we do not have the funding for more books and technology devices so this is the only way we can keep these kids learning and loving books. Please help support the next generation of lifelong learners and donate to our project!
