This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can students succeed in today's world without technology?

My students are eager to learn about global issues.

They have chosen to be students at a school which offers them the opportunity to develop international projects. The mission of International Studies Learning Center is to prepare global citizens. The Model UN club at our school participated for the past six years at the conferences Global Classroom.

My Project

There is only one working computer in my classroom. The additional laptop will help my students research topics of global importance to prepare for participation at the conference Global classroom: Model UN. My students will learn to evaluate the credibility of websites as they do their research.

The Model UN club at International Studies Learning Center has been actively participating at the Global Classroom conferences organized by the educational department of UNA USA.

My students have received every year awards for their work-Honorable mention, Best Position Paper, Best Delegation and the highest reward-the gavel. The availability of laptop at school to do research will help my students prepare better and continue to succeed.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
