Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Can you imagine trying to teach about the solar system without the right tools?

I have 28 eager students in my class.

The majority of my students are Hispanics. Most if not all receive free lunch. My students live in a working class neighborhood where poverty is high. My students attend a school where teachers are working hard to ensure that they get a good quality eduction. One that will prepare them for the future.

My Project

The Galaxy tablet will allow me to download bright and exciting apps that will capture my students attention. This tablet will (for example) allow me to download apps that will show our solar system in bright and stunning detail. Another app will allow me to show students how groups of organs work together, further allowing me to get my kids ready for the 5th grade science CST. Another use for this tablet will allow me take notes on how my students are progressing in their academic studies. It will also allow me to track student behavior and keep track of students assessments. Allowing me to better communicate with my parents.

Help me even the technology playing field for students.

Other schools have iPad carts. Others school give an iPad to each student. A Galaxy tablet is nothing compared to the above. But, in the hands of good teacher, it can go a long way.
