Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Do you remember learning the ABCs? My class is currently learning their ABCs, and I try to make learning fun and give them hands-on projects to learn their letters. Many of these projects need glue sticks and paper, and these materials have been cut back due to budget cuts.
My students are very excited about learning even though many of them live below poverty level.
I try to make their learning fun and exciting and provide with them fun activities to help them learn. I am trying to provide them a way out of poverty by giving them an excellent education. They face many challenges, and finding school supplies or limiting activities should not be a challenge they should have to face in order to get a good education.
My Project
If I could give each of my students a great education it would be the first step in encouraging each of them to continue on with their education into college. I try to make my teaching exciting with a variety of activities. Due to a lack of materials, such as glue sticks and Xerox paper, I have limited my activities and this limits their learning. I want and encourage all of my students to become lifetime learners, and it starts with getting them excited about education in Kindergarten.
Having the materials necessary for my students to learn will definitely impact my students learning.
As it is now I do not even have enough paper to make copies. My goal is that all my students will be lifelong learners and I need materials like paper to do this.
