My Students

Do you remember what it was like to go to the reading corner when you were in school. Well my students don't have that comfortable area to enjoy in our classroom. We don't even have a rug for our floor. We have a lot of books but not a quiet, comfortable relaxing corner to enjoy those books.

My students range in age from 5-12 years of age and their disabilities range in severity.

They are all special needs and already find it very challenging to read as it is. They want to read and I would like to create a place for them to relax and enjoy reading while they are at school.

My Project

My students would greatly appreciate the bean bag chairs as they have special needs and need the pressure that is provided by the bean bag chair to enjoy their school experience. Please help them create a relaxing place to learn and enjoy the wonder of books.

This project is very important to us as we are in a high poverty area and don't receive many donations for our students.

The bean bag chairs really help my autistic children focus and maintain attention while listening or reading a story.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
