We have two fantastic music teachers who not only teach the mechanics of music, but also teach the history and culture of music. We would like to support their curriculum needs by providing these books in our library for teachers and students to check out, read, and use.
We have 762 very diverse students in our middle school who are from various types of backgrounds.
Many of our students struggle financially as over 62% of our students are on free and reduced price lunch. We have many students who are curious learners who want to read about all types of subjects, music included.
My Project
One benefit of having books donated to the Media Center is that all students in our school can benefit. All students can read, learn, and enjoy these books about music. They will get to learn about the history of various types of music, as well as learn about music that they get to hear on the radio.
Additionally, our music teachers teach about the history and culture of music. These teachers will get to check out these books to use while teacher particular units. These books will make a huge difference to not only all of students, but our teachers as well.
We like to support as many classrooms and student needs as possible.
Our goal, as a Media Center, is to provide as many fantastic learning opportunities as possible for our students. These books will not only provide great learning opportunities for our students, but will also provide enjoyment. These books have the chance to impact all 762 students, which means the impact will be huge for our school!
