My Students

Today's students are very technology oriented and need exciting lessons presented in a 21st century style. The use of music videos to enhance the understanding of Algebra topics will help to increase achievement.

My students are primarily freshman in high school who are taking Algebra over the course of an entire year.

We are in North Carolina and our school encourages the use of technology to enhance instruction. The students are hard working and eager to understand the world of Algebra.

My Project

Today's students are motivated by music and action. I will use the LCD projector to make the Algebra notes come alive! The Algebra topics will be taught through the use of music videos on a daily basis. The use of music videos enables the students to better understand the topic and to remember the details such as, formulas. Once the lessons are presented in this manner, the students will be encouraged to create their own videos to explain Algebra concepts.

The use of the LCD projector enables the students to interact with the lesson for the day.

The music videos add the extra pizazz to learning a new concept or formula. Once introduced to the song you often hear the students singing it to aid them in completing the assignment for the lesson.
