Leaping into Reading with LeapFrog Tag School Readers

My students need to learn how to read and love reading using LeapFrog Tag Readers and Tag Junior.

My Students

As quoted from Dr. Seuss, "The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Please help us learn to read and grow to love reading.

My exceptional K-2nd graders receive developmental support in a small group setting.

Together we work on the academic curriculum, in addition to functional life and social skills. They benefit from hands-on experiences that allow them to learn by doing, and making connections to the curriculum across content areas.

My Project

Having the opportunity to learn to read using LeapFrog Tag readers will foster a love of reading for my students. My students will not only have the opportunity to learn basic reading skills independently, they will also be able to transfer their new knowledge into a small group reading group to talk about what they are learning. The tag readers will bring books to life as they follow along in the book, and learn to read letter by letter, and word by word.

As Robert Maynard Hutchins said: "The object of education is to prepare the young to educate themselves throughout their lives." Help us to create a brighter future for our students.
