Reading is such a great experience for any child. It helps them open up a world of imagination, that they can only imagine. Students who have trouble reading can still read with the assistance of the leapfrog tag readers (and teacher guidance).
My students come from various economic backgrounds.
There are at least 75-80% of the school wide students on free and reduced lunches. Some students come from single parent families, both parent families, or live with their grandparents or other relatives.
My Project
The leapfrog tag reading system will make it possible for even the low readers in the classroom to be able to independently practice reading various stories. The readers will allow the students to hear a story read fluently for them. The read stories will help the students hear the words and practice reading them (by touching the written words) on their own.
The leapfrog tag readers are excellent in assisting a teacher with all types of leveled learners.
The books can be placed in a learning center and the students will be able to pick and choose their own stories. The stories will be read to them and have assistance in decoding words that they may have trouble with. With your help I will be able to provide this type of reading experience for my students.
