This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help History come alive!! I wish all my students could explore history. My students live less than 30 miles from DC, yet due to economic disadvantages, most have never been to a museum. I want all students to be able to explore history on a virtual field trip.....technology makes this possible.

The students in my classes are from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, but that does not limit their ability to learn.

The only limitations they have are the resources that are available to them. I would love to be able to take all of my students on field trips, but many cannot afford the cost of transportation. I want students to use technology to explore the world beyond their town.

My Project

A mini laptop might seem like a small item, but it has the ability to open the world to a student that does not have the ability to travel outside of the town they live. We are less than 30 miles from the nation's capital, yet several of my students have never traveled to DC.I want to bring the world into the classroom. Technology can help level the playing field for my students.

Please help to make a difference for my students.

We have a limited number of computers available at this time. I want my students to have access to explore history, so as to better understand their futures.
