This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am going to take my fourth grade students on a field trip to the SONY Wonder Technology Lab. What could be a better surprise for the students than to have a SONY tablet waiting for them when we return to our classroom? The students can use the tablet for reading, research and presentations.

My students are absolutely wonderful.

My large class of 29 all fall below the poverty level. Most do not have access to computers at home and they love to use my two desktop computers (both are 11 years old). My students are enthusiastic learners and would love the opportunity to be interactive with the technology they need to use for a successful future. The students in my class have positive attitudes and would appreciate donors who care enough about them to fund our technology project.

My Project

Cutting-edge technology in the classroom will serve as a catalyst for teaching and learning. If you could help me bring technology and creativity together to make learning experiential, entertaining and fun, I know my students can thrive. With two old desktops for a class of almost thirty the amount of individual computer time is limited. The tablet can be used at the students desks and as part of a technology center. It can be out and with a student during most lessons and students can make every lesson more visual and exciting. Also, the students can explore the applied science activities and technology that they experience during their field trip to the SONY Wonder Technology Lab. Imagine if the excitement of the trip can be brought to their daily lessons!

I know that with this field trip and this tablet I will be able to explore innovative and creative ways to integrate technology into the curriculum.

With your generosity my students will be motivated and have the tools to succeed. So many of my students don't even consider career paths in the areas of applied science or technology because they have little or no exposure to these areas. Please consider broadening their experience. THANK YOU!
