This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them." --Lady Bird Johnson, Former First Lady. My students have big dreams, and I know that they will fulfill them. Providing them with a good education, the proper resources, and encouragement will take them a step closer to their goals.

My fourth grade students are from a Title 1 school.

Although many come from low-income homes with limited resources, they have big dreams. They are eager to learn and are motivated to do well in school. My students' parents support their children as much as they can. They have taught their children that education is the key to their future. My students come to school with enthusiasm in their eyes and ready to learn. I know that my students have bright futures ahead of them. I would love to be able to give my students the resources and the knowledge they need to ensure their success.

My Project

Access to technology is vital in today's world. It is beneficial for students today to be computer literate and be able to access and supplement the curriculum using technology. Having the computer netbook, usb flash drives, and printer ink cartridges will allow me to give my students those critical learning experiences. By having technology, my students will be able to access and supplement the curriculum. They will be able to get additional help with our Math curriculum online. They will be able to view lesson videos and work on practice problems. Additionally, my students will be able to use the technology for upcoming research projects such as Missions of California and be able to explore many topics of interest. My students will learn to find the appropriate information that they will need, type and edit reports, and print them. My students will become more knowledgeable in utilizing the computer. I know that my students can succeed with the proper resources and support.

Having the technological resources in my classroom is important because it will help my students develop valuable skills that they will need in life.

They will learn how to access the curriculum, supplement their learning using curriculum-supported websites, research information, and become more computer literate. All students deserve the very best that we can give them!
