Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Help us read more fluently. We need to hear good examples of readers.

My students are English language learners in the 3rd grade.

They come from homes where English is not their primary language. My students are mostly Spanish and Arabic speakers. Many times, the only English they hear are at school or on television.

My Project

The resources that I am requesting are for our literacy stations/guided reading. It is important that my students have these resources to help them with their reading fluency. They need to hear good readers read to them so that they can learn the correct way to read in phrases instead of word-for-word. The other resource is to help them keep up with the books that they can read on their level.

My project is so important because it helps model the correct way to read.
