Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have such great imaginations but we lack supplies for them to be able to put their ideas on paper. We do not have scarves to use for free movement and for dancing and we need various other art supplies.

Our school is a Title One school and 88% of our student population qualifies for free and reduced lunch.

Students in our school love to use paint and other fun craft items but unfortunately their parents do not have the ability to buy materials for them to use at home. Our classroom would love to be able to incorporate the use of art supplies in our lessons and would love to be able to send these creations home for students to share their work at home with their parents.

My Project

The students will be able to paint and draw using their imaginations! Students will be able to dance and sing with the free movement scarves. Having a new drying rack will allow us to free up counter space so more students can paint each day! And other various supplies are always needed.

Kindergartners love to share their ideas and love to create pieces of art.

Donating to this project will help provide materials for our classroom that will help develop the fine art skills of my students and help them share their creativity.
