This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Fact vs. Fiction! The curriculum that my students are given is extremely rich in fiction stories and severely lacking in non-fiction and historical fiction selections. Please help us broaden our minds with truth-based stories.

My school is a K-8 school with a decent library, but many of my students are reading well above 5th grade level, even well above middle school level.

One of my students is reading at a college level! I want to challenge these young minds with non-fiction and historical fiction stories to spark further learning.

My Project

The magic of books is powerful. Your donation will allow my class of 30 students to receive high quality novels that will pique their interest and start discussions and projects to further higher level learning. The novels in this project are selected for being non-fiction and historical fiction, to allow my students to get access to social studies while enjoying a good book.

Educating students takes a village of teachers, parents, volunteers, and donations from people like you!

Our school is central to the surrounding community, and showing support to our students is crucial. Thank you for taking the time to read this project and for caring about the success of students!
