Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Let our students experience the wonders of iBooks, iWork and the thousands of apps that are ready for download with the iPad2.

We are a class of 96% beginning to intermediate ESL students with a focus and passion on learning and creating.

My hope is that I can guide my students and continue developing their love of technology and school. Our resources are limited, and we need your help. This is a Second grade class that is located in New York City. The students come from low income housing and have extremely limited resources. Our elementary school has grades K-4 and houses over 1,100 students. Quality laptops and notepads have become difficult to acquire.

My Project

I am asking for this iPad2, smart cover, and AV Adapater not only for the students' technology period but also to teach them how to create documents, read iBooks, use apps to learn how to read, publish writing pieces, create bar graphs, solve Math problems, learn about Science, and countless other activities that I have planned for this exciting year. The students will learn how to use the iPad2 and will work with it daily.

My goal for every year is to make our school year together one of the most memorable of the students' lives.

The projects that the students complete with the iPad2 will inspire them, make them believe in themselves and will produce that magical smile that makes teaching the greatest job in the world.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
