My students need books, displays, and other resources to explore Shakespeare. They will read, perform, and write using Shakespeare as their mentor text.

My Students

I always knew as a child that Shakespeare was important. Students know this too, but they are not sure why. Through this unit of study, they will discover the significance of Shakespeare and discover the depth and complexity within his works.

This is a creative and bright group of 2nd and 3rd grade students.

We are currently writing soliloquies to master first person point of view. Hamlet was our inspiration. Help us to deepen our exploration through puppet play, art study, reading about Queen Elizabeth and more!

My Project

The book displays are really helpful for this age group. When they can see the cover of the book they are more likely to read it. We are making puppets, but need a theater for our debut! Artwork of the period will be displayed on the easel and we will read about Shakespeare's queen, Elizabeth with the book sets.

When students can teach their parents and family about someone as important as Shakespeare, they feel important!
