Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"We need to get down to business every day!" Each day my students and I work to develop their individual talents and supports. However, without technology or paper resources to support their learning needs we constantly we work to achieve. Support our goals of two years of growth for each student.

My students in the South Bronx are on 99% free lunch.

They are high needs students who require a host of different interventions and supports to create an environment where they are challenged and simultaneously given an opportunity to develop their own individual and unique talents, in a comfortable and challenging work environment. We are working to bring students test scores that are at least two levels below average.

My Project

Two tablets will support our technology needs in the classroom where students can access the internet to find different genres to share with other students in read aloud practice and writing shares that will support students' literacy practice. The charts, paper, and other supplies will support the students ability to promote and publish their work.

This project will support my students ability to access the internet, find articles that will enrich their practice with different genres writing, help them display their materials, and publish their best writing.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
